‘Shelfie’ of dreams

With the publication of my new Christmas romantic comedy, here’s a very special ‘shelfie’ that I never dared to dream would come true.

A Christmas Wish and a Cranberry Kiss at the Cosy Kettle is my sixth book, which is all rather overwhelming when, just a few years ago, I was an aspiring author who’d started to lose faith. I’d been trying for so long to attract the attention of an agent or publisher and had come close a couple of times, only for those possibilities to fizzle out. In some ways, getting close but not close enough was harder to take than the outright rejections.

But then along came wonderful publisher Bookouture who took a chance on me, and here we are, six books later. I still have to pinch myself sometimes.

I’m loving being a published author and am so glad that I didn’t give up. My shelf of books is all the more special to me because of those years when my dream seemed so out of reach.

If you have dreams, keep going and I hope they come true.
